What we are about!
Our purpose is to inform interested persons about the game of Pickle-ball. We intend to post items relating to tournaments, training, places to play, and to fun items like barbecues, general meetings, personalities, etc. Information can be posted by contacting (temporarily) me at jnjohnson123@hotmail.com

Working to improve our courts!
The park paid for the rocks, and we picklers did the work to place the rock on the berm between the courts and the bleachers.
For your viewing pleasure, we tried very hard to get a picture of the men doing the hard labor and came up with this intensive, dedicated, muscular, pensive, portend-er to hard labor, Pickleball Len. This picture captures the true spirit of those who volunteer and are volunteered. A big paddle for Len and his idea on how to accomplish the job, with the least effort!

Pickle Personality of the Week!
Len Taal, this weeks personality is just that. Personality plus!
Len, (over 60) hails from Victoria, BC. When not in Sky Valley, Len plays PB in Esquimalt Rec Centre. A former teacher, he loves to teach newbies about Pickleball. Len is married to Anne Marie who is a pickler in her own right! They have 2 sons both living in Vancouver, BC. They also have three grandchildren, two of whom were on the courts Monday (watching) w/two proud grandparents. Len learned to play in Sky Valley. His teacher was non other than last weeks personality, Betty Wust. From that beginning, Len started PB in Victoria's ERC. He is a member of the USAPA.org and Pickleball Canada.org. His favorite pickleball strategy - lame jokes and "evil" serves. Next to pickleball, he loves being Opa! (that's Dutch for Gramps!). We wish Len a long life on the courts and with his grandkids. If personality is the passport of life, Len has a free ticket. His on and off court demeanor earns him the title of Mr. personality! Great knowing you, Len!
